Electric strikes are designed for convenience and controlled access, not as primary security against forced entry.

They resist force — but only up to a limit.

When installing commercial strikes, alignment and flush fitting are critical:

‱ Interlock plates / protection plates must be perfectly flat
‱ Some models CANNOT be installed flush:
– HES 1006 → large latch (not flush possible)
– Adams Rite 7400 → limited cutting near latch
‱ Others may be adjustable:
– RCI U65 → can be cut flush
– Adams Rite 7100 → possible, but not always perfect
